ほとんどの市立小学校は今日が始業式、でも一部の学校は今日が冬休み最後の日だったようです。
元気な小学生たちに加え、本日は当教室としては珍しく、男性が連れ立ってお越しになったグループが2組。
そのうちのお一組にお話を伺うと、大阪の方なら誰もが知る大きなうどん屋さんの方々でした。万博の後、本格的にうどん作り体験を検討されているとのことで、今回はその視察を兼ねてのご参加。私たちの普段通りの進め方が、お役に立てるようなものではないかもしれませんが、今回のご参加を「他山の石」としていただければ幸いです。
最後は、お子様もプロの方も、自分で粉と水から作った打ちたてのうどんを実食。湯気の上がる一杯を前に、皆さん晴れやかな笑顔を見せてくださいました。
On the last day of winter break, the classroom was buzzing with energy. Along with spirited elementary school students, we welcomed two rare groups of men. One of these groups turned out to be from a major udon restaurant chain that everyone in Osaka knows. As they are considering launching their own experience program after the Expo, they joined our class for observation. While our usual process may not be of much help, we hope they find our session a useful object lesson for their future plans. In the end, everyone—from the children to the professionals—enjoyed eating the fresh udon they made from scratch starting with flour and water. Faced with steaming bowls of udon, everyone shared bright smiles.
